Taxicab driver robbed in Potrero Hill after being struck in the head

A taxicab driver was robbed in the Potrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco after being hit in the head by a passenger.

The 32-year-old cabdriver was dropping off a fare near 25th and De Haro streets at 11:40 p.m. Thursday when the attacker struck the driver in the head with an unknown object, according to San Francisco police.

The robber demanded the driver’s wallet and stole money from the man before fleeing on foot.

The taxi driver suffered a laceration to the back of the head but refused medical treatment, according to police.
