Suspect arrested in baptism party stabbing

A baptism party was the scene of a stabbing in Redwood City on Saturday night, police said.

Yazmani Ramirez, 28, is accused of using a pocketknife to stab a 24-year-old man who reportedly disrespected his wife at the Highland Community Club.

Police responded to the fight call around 10:20 p.m. and learned the victim had already been transported to the hospital. Ramirez was detained at the scene and was in possession of the pocketknife, police said.
