Supes send Slaughter to Police Commission

In a 10-1 vote, the Board of Supervisor confirmed Mayor Gavin Newsom’s appointment of R. James Slaughter to the Police Commission. Slaughter is a partner in the San Francisco law firm Keker & Van Nest law firm and has experience in complex civil and white collar criminal matters. He previously served on the Taxi Commission.

Supervisor Chris Daly voted in opposition.

The board also unanimously supported Newsom’s appointment of Gwyneth Borden to the Planning Commission.
