Supervisors to discuss plans for Hunters Point Naval Shipyard

On Thursday, District 5 supervisor Ross Mirkarimi and the rest of the Board of Supervisors Government Audit and Oversight Committee will discuss plans to take over ownership of the shuttered Hunters Point Naval Shipyard from the Navy. The committee will also discuss a resolution urging the Navy to reinstate an advisory board of local residents to educate the community about the cleanup process.
