A 34-year-old man was fighting for his life after another man stabbed him near Candlestick Point on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The stabbing occurred around 3:15 p.m. in the 1000 block of Gilman Avenue. According to police, the victim and suspect were arguing when the victim grabbed a board, and the suspect then stabbed the victim several times.
The victim was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The suspect, a 39-year-old man, was taken into custody.
