Solano County Supervisor Mike Reagan was arrested by Vacaville police Friday night on suspicion of drunken driving.
Reagan apologized Monday in a statement to local media. He said he was pulled over by police for a non-moving violation and it was determined he had a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. He said he was at a charity event in Fairfield where wine was served with dinner.
Reagan did not immediately return phone calls this afternoon. A spokesperson from his office said he was attending a lengthy afternoon session of the Board of Supervisors.
Vacaville police also did not return calls for more information about the arrest. Reagan was reportedly released to a third party and has a Jan. 25 court date.
Reagan began serving his first term on the board in January 2005.
