Slippery burglar makes off with wallet, jewelry box

The perp went out the garage door.

A man was asleep in his Bayview home when he was stirred awake by a noise early Tuesday morning, police said. The victim got out of bed to find the source when he realized his garage door was open, which he said was closed when he went to bed, they said.

After noticing the garage door open, the victim saw that his wallet — and money therein — plus a jewelry box were missing from his bedroom.

The identity of sneaky thief is unknown and no arrests have been made, police said.
