Skateboarder hit by vehicle, seriously injured in Inner Sunset

A skateboarder suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision with a vehicle in San Francisco’s Inner Sunset neighborhood on Tuesday evening, police said.

The collision was reported at 5:10 p.m. at Lawton Street and Funston Avenue.

The 22-year-old man on the skateboarder entered the intersection and was hit by the front right side of a vehicle, according to police.

He was taken to a hospital and an update on his condition was not available as of Wednesday.

The vehicle driver, a 39-year-old man, was not arrested in connection with the collision, police said.
