SF tenant allegedly attacks with machete during eviction

An eviction turned violent early Tuesday morning when a 26-year-old tenant tried to strike the woman forcing him out with a machete in the Bayview, according to police.

Police said the 39-year-old woman was trying to evict the man from a residence on Revere Avenue between Hayes and Ingalls streets around 12:05 a.m.

The woman was injured in the altercation but is expected to survive.

Police arrived at the scene and arrested the tenant.

Police are investigating the case as a burglary and assault with a deadly weapon.
