SF schools honored for academic achievements

The Portola district’s E.R. Taylor Elementary School and R.L. Stevenson Elementary School in the Outer Sunset were honored by the U.S. Department of Education as No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon Schools for 2009. Only 23 other schools in California received the honor. The program recognizes schools that show dramatic gains in student achievement for economically disadvantaged students.
