SF man arrested in connection with Embarcadero knife attack

A 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of slashing a man’s hand with a knife during a scuffle on the Embarcadero late Tuesday before spitting on a police officer.

Donald Fosselman, of San Francisco, allegedly cut the 36-year-old man near The Embarcadero and Mission Street around 8 p.m., Officer Grace Gatpandan said. He then fled on foot but police found and arrested him.

Fosselman was booked into County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and battery on a peace officer.
