SF cops catch a couple of car crooks

Cops caught a couple of car crooks in the act in Bernal Heights early Tuesday morning, they said.

Officers responded to the scene of an auto burglary call in the 100 block of Bennington Street around 2 a.m., police said. When they got there, they saw the two suspects sitting in the stolen car.

One suspect, a 27-year-old man, was immediately taken into custody. The second suspect, a man in his 30s, fled but was later apprehended. The registered car owner confirmed the car was stolen.
