A check for $36,000 will be presented to two local charities tomorrow, the result of the 10th annual San Francisco International Airport golf tournament held earlier this year.
Holy Family Day Home, a charity that provides education opportunity for economically-disadvantage children, and Lighthouse for the Blind, an organization that helps find employment for blind residents, will split the $36,000 check following a ceremony scheduled for noon on Friday at the airport’s Aviation Museum.
The airport’s golf tournament, which featured members of the San Francisco Police and Fire departments, was held on October 6 in Millbrae. Airport director John Martin, San Francisco Police Chief George Gascon and San Francisco Fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White acted as chairpersons of the event.
