San Mateo County mails election info

On Thursday, elections officials began mailing out 183 different styles of sample ballots to the 337,889 voters of San Mateo County and expect to continue through this week and into next. Voters also will receive the state Voter Information Guide with details on statewide races.

“I encourage voters to review the material carefully, make their choices, mark up the sample ballot and, if they are voting at the polls on Election Day, to bring it with them to the polls,” said Warren Slocum, chief elections officer. Voters can view or download a copy of their sample ballot at www.shapethefuture.org. The state voter information guide is available at www.voterguide.sos.ca.gov.
