SamTrans bus in vehicle fire on I-280

A SamTrans bus involved in a car fire with another vehicle brought fire crews to the right shoulder of southbound Interstate Highway 280 north of Sneath Lane in San Bruno, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Tracy Hoover.

The right two lanes of the freeway are closed at this time while crews battle the flames.

The fire was reported at about 9 a.m., according to the CHP. The SamTrans bus did not collide with the other vehicle, reportedly a Mitsubishi, but the vehicles are stopped because of a fire, Hoover said.

No lanes are closed becauseof the fire.
