S.F. supervisor to present physical education plan

San Francisco Supervisor Bevan Dufty is looking for ways to keep The City’s students healthier.

On Thursday he will discuss a potential “master plan” for physical education in the San Francisco Unified School District.

The Board of Education last spring stopped allowing students to receive PE credit for enrolling in the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps, which is scheduled to end in 2009, after a poll revealed many students enroll for the exercise credit.
