Did someone call a cab? Officers met a man who, after an evening of cocktails in the Mission district, was robbed at gunpoint at 24th and Illinois streets at 8:42 p.m. Jan. 8. After leaving a bar at the corner of 16th and Mission streets, he noticed a car that circled the block a few times. The car pulled over, and the victim asked for a ride home. The victim got into the car, but he told the police that he was too intoxicated to remember the details. He said the female occupant of the car pointed a gun at him and demanded “her $20.” The man got out of the car at 24th and Illinois streets and walked to Third Street to make a phone call.

Tag, you’re under arrest: Officers were on motorized patrol when they saw two suspects scrawling on the tiles of the Stockton tunnel wall at 12:11 a.m. Jan. 11. The suspects were immediately placed under arrest and found to be in possession of permanent markers, spray-paint cans and nozzles.
Richmond
Richmond, most of Golden Gate Park
Came in through the bathroom window: On the 700 block of Presidio, a suspect gained entry into an apartment through a bathroom window between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Jan. 3. The bathroom window was accessible via scaffolding on the building. The suspect took a laptop and a camera.
Smoke break: On the 5300 block of Geary Boulevard, a suspect broke the glass on the front door of a business and took several cartons of cigarettes between 8:30 p.m. Jan. 5 and 6:30 a.m. Jan. 6.

Glen Park, Bernal Heights, Excelsior, St. Francis Wood
Roommate wanted: A 24-year-old man interviewed a prospective roommate in his apartment on the 1-100 block of Ocean Avenue at 7:20 p.m. Jan. 16. He left her alone for a minute. She fled with his cell phone and house keys.
