Tenderloin
Tenderloin, bordered by Geary, Market and Larkin streets
Recognized: Patrol officers at Hyde and Ellis streets saw on June 2 a man they knew had an outstanding no-bail parole warrant. They arrested him.
Mission
Mission district, Noe Valley
Van guard: Officers were sent to investigate a call of a person breaking into a van on the 1100 block of Shotwell Street at 2:34 a.m. June 5. They arrested the suspect, who was in possession of an illegal knife.
Central
Financial District, Nob Hill, Chinatown, North Beach, Russian Hill, Telegraph Hill
Working girls: Plainclothes officers arrested a 19-year-old San Francisco woman on suspicion of prostitution and another 22-year-old from Oakland for the same offense at Polk and Sutter streets and Pine and Larkin streets between 11 p.m. June 4 and 1 a.m. June 5.
Taraval
Sunset, Parkside, portions of Golden Gate Park
Chase: Plainclothes officers at 12:06 p.m. June 4 spotted a man dressed in black standing on the corner of Taraval Street and Sunset Boulevard. The officers walked toward the man, who then ran full speed across Sunset with the officers in pursuit. The suspect withdrew a firearm and threw it over his head onto the sidewalk. He was captured a block away. The semiautomatic handgun was recovered. The suspect had prior arrests for robbery was arrested on firearms charges.
Southern
South of Market, China Basin, Embarcadero
Rollover: Officers responded to King Street at noon June 8 regarding a rollover vehicle accident. The driver of the car fled the scene but was located and identified a few blocks away. He was booked on suspicion of auto theft, a parole violation, leaving the scene of an accident and driving on a suspended license.
