Roommate stabbed over rent

A spat over rent led to stabbing Saturday, police said.

The roommates say they are friends, but their argument over the apartment bills became violent in the 400 block of Eddy Street around 11:50 p.m., police said.

A 40-year-old white man stabbed his 67-year-old roommate in the hand before fleeing, police said. As of Monday, the attacker has not been arrested, police said.

The victim suffered a minor laceration, police said.
