Richmond District stabbing victim identified

The San Francisco medical examiner's office has identified a man found dead in a Richmond District intersection Tuesday as 29-year-old Brian Austin.

Officers had responded to a call reporting screaming and then located Austin dead in the intersection of 47th Avenue and Fulton Street next to Golden Gate Park at 2:55 a.m., police said. He died of stab wounds, according to police.

Austin's city of residence has yet to be determined, according to the medical examiner's office.
