Request for directions in SF turns into shooting incident

An 18-year-old man was shot in the finger in Bayview-Hunters Point on Christmas morning, according to the police.

At 1:44 a.m., the suspect, whose age is unknown, asked the victim for directions and then pulled out a hand gun. When the victim attempted to grab the gun the suspected fired once, hitting the victim’s finger.

The victim, whose wound was not life-threatening, was treated at San Francisco General Hospital.

No arrest was made.
