A callous killer has shocked a judge with his lack of remorse.
“He's dead. Everybody dies,” 25-year-old Tyler Hutchinson told a probation officer, according to the San Mateo County Times. “I'm gonna die. You're gonna die. I don't care.”
On Tuesday, Hutchinson was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for savagely beating to death Albert Korn, 88, of Belmont during a residential burglary in 2009. The city’s police chief called the senseless attack “one of the most disturbing things I’ve seen in my law enforcement career.”
His attorney had reportedly asked for 25 years to life because of the transient’s history of mental illness.
