Rec revelry coming to a center near you

There are 25 rec centers and nine pools that are all having open houses on the same day at the end of this month so neighbors can learn how to use them.

It’s “Back to Rec Night,’’ the Recreation and Park Department’s cute way of replicating back-to-school night, but it’s all-inclusive and it’s on Sept. 29.

Here’s a list of where they’ll be.

The event is meant to celebrate a new recreation model, despite the fact that the department had to lay off employees and cut back on hours.

Every meeting is scheduled to start at 6 p.m., except for the party animals at the Golden Gate Senior Center who will start their recreation celebrations at 10 a.m.
