Pumpkin festival returns to Bay

Half Moon Bay’s 39th annual Art & Pumpkin Festival — scheduled for Oct. 17-18 — includes world-class pumpkin carver Farmer Mike, a display of mega-pumpkins, several stages of entertainment, a parade, crafts and plenty of food, including products from local farms. The free event will run 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
