Protesters converged around the intersection of Castro and Market streets Wednesday morning in support of the Black Lives Matter protests.
The action, which was planned last week, was organized by The City's LGBT community to show support for the protests against the decision not to indict police officers in New York and Missouri in cases where black men died as a result of confrontations with police.
About 200 people gathered in the Castro Wednesday morning carrying banners, chanting, and blocking traffic.
Around 10 a.m. one of the organizers with the bullhorn called the end of the action, saying, “Black lives matter. Now go home.”
