Power restored to 8,500 in Ingleside

Ingleside District residents may have to reset their alarm clocks after a power outage left more than 8,000 without electricity.

Approximately 8,500 Pacific Gas & Electric Co. customers in the southern San Francisco neighborhood lost power at 6:38 p.m. Sunday night when underground equipment failed at Mission and Gambetta streets in Daly City, according to officials.

The company restored power to 4,600 customers by 8:17 p.m. and all customers had their clocks back on by 9:37 p.m.
