Potrero Hill Rec Center to renovate field

The neighbors who use the sports fields at the Potrero Hill Recreation Center might want to hold off for a few weeks.

Since it’s not all soggy, Recreation and Park Department staff thought it would be a good time to renovate the grass, fill up some holes and plant more seeds.

However, it means the park could be closed for hours at a time

Garfield Square Park in the Mission has an athletic field, about 20 blocks away.

The renovation might only last a couple weeks, but could take longer to be revived.
