Potential parkland locations for Showplace Square identified

City planners asked residents to help them decide where new parkland should be built in the Showplace Square district.

Planners identified eight potential public open-space locations in Showplace Square, which is roughly bordered by Seventh, Mariposa and Vermont streets in the South of Market neighborhood.

Residents can e-mail their preferred park locations to planner Steve Wertheim by Jan. 15.
