Port to receive $27,000 for repairs

Two private parties will pay $27,000 to help repair damage caused to Port of San Francisco property.

Commissioners for the cash-strapped Port recently voted unanimously to accept settlement agreements with Recology/Golden Gate D&R Co. and with tour boat operator Joe Nazar.

Recology/Golden Gate D&R Co. will pay $13,220 to help repair damage to the Pier 9 shed caused by a motor vehicle collision in July, Port documents show.

Additionally, Joe Nazar will pay $13,965 to help repair the Hyde Street Harbor dock, which was damaged by a vessel collision in November 2008, the documents show.
