Police search for white van in SoMa collision with bicyclist

Police are searching for a white van in connection with a hit-and-run collision with a bicyclist Sunday night in the South of Market district.

The collision occurred about 7 p.m. in the area of Seventh and Mission streets, Officer Gordon Shyy said.

The bicyclist was transported to San Francisco General Hospital. His condition was not immediately known.

The white van that was involved likely has front-end damage and possibly a shattered window, Shyy said.

“Anyone with information is asked to SFPD,” Shyy said.
