Police investigating suspicious death in Bernal Heights

Police are investigating what they say is a suspicious death in the Bernal Heights neighborhood, Sgt. Danielle Newman said.

About 9:30 a.m. this morning, San Francisco firefighters responded to a medical call in the 500 block of Peralta Avenue and discovered the body, Newman said. They reported the incident to police as they thought it was suspicious.

Homicide investigators were called to the scene although the death has not yet been declared a homicide by the Medical Examiner’s Office, Newman said.
