Officers are investigating a body that was found in Golden Gate Park early Wednesday morning, police said.
The body was discovered just before 8 a.m. at Martin Luther King and Chain of Lakes drives, near 41st Avenue, in the Outer Sunset.
“We’re investigating a body that was found at 7:57 this morning,” said Officer Grace Gatpandan, a spokesperson for the San Francisco Police Department.
Police told reporters at the scene they do not suspect the death involved foul play. It was not immediately known whether the body belonged to a man or a woman, police said.
The medical examiner’s office has taken possession of the body, but could not release information about the victim’s identity Wednesday, said Jesse Stanton, a senior clerk for the office.
