Plans for high-speed rail route to be unveiled

The preliminary design for the San Francisco-San Jose, San Jose-Merced and Altamont corridors of the state’s high-speed rail project will be presented in a San Diego meeting this morning. The California High-Speed Rail Authority board will consider the design as well as the necessary environmental contracts for the San Francisco-to-San Jose section of the rail. Financing for the project is on the November ballot.
