Peninsula Police Blotter: Neighborhood crime log

These are excerpts from Peninsula police departments’ daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by city.

Foster City

Waiting for mom and dad: A welfare check was requested at 4:57 p.m. March 7 for a woman in her late 50s or early 60s who was on a property on Edgewater Boulevard for a couple of hours. The subject was shaking and also looking into vehicles. Contact was made with the woman, who said she was waiting for her parents. She was advised to take her medication.

Darn kids: A caller reported at 10:24 p.m. March 8 from East Hillsdale and Foster City boulevards that a vehicle was driving slowly in front of her and when she tried to pass, the vehicle would speed up. Several youths were seen in the vehicle.

San Bruno

Double bogey: Someone stole a driving mat and golf balls from the 2100 block of Sneath Lane before 8:44 a.m. March 10.

Life in the slow aisle: A man was pushing a shopping cart in the right-hand lane of a street as cars swerved around him at 6:53 a.m. March 11.

Redwood City

Wreck: A major injury accident occurred at 6:16 a.m. March 11 on Emerald Hill Road when a resident’s vehicle ran into a tree or house. Medics were called. The caller didn’t see a person get out of a vehicle.

Skating by: A suspicious-person check was requested at 1:32 p.m. March 11 on the 100 block of Fernside Street for a man wearing a black stocking cap, beige clothing, a green sweatshirt tied around his waist and inline skates who was taking pictures of homes in the neighborhood. He was last seen going toward Carson Street. He was gone when police arrived.

South City

Ragged group: A patron at Costco on South Airport Boulevard reported harassment and being threatened by a possible gang member at 6:22 p.m. March 7. The subject was found not to be a gang member. A total of five men wearing red rags were last seen in the parking lot. No weapons were seen or mentioned.
