Daly City

Bedroom marijuana: An apartment resident on the 400 block of 88th Street had no objections to allowing police inside at 3:36 p.m. Aug. 18 to investigate neighbor complaints of burning marijuana odor.

The nine marijuana plants growing in his bedroom were permissible under his medical marijuana permit.

San Mateo

Long test-drive: The would-be seller of a 2001 black Mercedes Benz on Borel Avenue allowed a potential buyer to go for a test drive by himself on Aug. 18. The car has not been returned.

Belmont

Motel 6 break-in: An unknown vehicle burglar broke out the back window of a silver Honda Accord in the parking lot of the Motel 6 on Shoreway Road overnight Aug. 22 and absconded with undisclosed items.

Over-caffeinated: Police were called at 3:53 Aug. 22 to abate a disturbance at the Peet’s Coffee on El Camino Real, where a female customer was yelling imprecations at employees and latte imbibers alike.

Millbrae

Four drunks: Four people were arrested between 9:06 p.m. and 10:55 p.m. on suspicion of public intoxication on Aug. 17. One was taken to the hospital from the intersection of Linden and Serra avenues, two were arrested and booked in San Mateo County Jail and one was taken to First Chance.

Burlingame

Early wake-up calls: At 2:42 a.m. Aug. 20, police received a call from an apartment building on the 2000 block of Trousdale Drive about an unknown male screaming and cursing into the intercom machine and waking up tenants.

Illicit fragrance: Police responded to a hotel on the 1100 block of Airport Boulevard at 1:59 a.m. Aug. 19 when an employee reported smelling marijuana in a guest’s room after delivering blankets to the room upon request.
