Pedestrian struck by car near Golden Gate Park in SF

A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a car near San Francisco's Golden Gate Park this morning, police said.

The collision was reported around 8:20 a.m. near Fulton Street and Willard North, Officer Gordon Shyy said.

A blue SUV struck the pedestrian, who was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with a serious head injury, Shyy said.

The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, said Shyy.
