Pedestrian struck and killed while crossing Sloat Boulevard

A man crossing Sloat Boulevard was hit and killed by a car Tuesday night, police said.

The crash was reported at about 8:1 p.m. on Sloat Boulevard at 36th Avenue, near Sunset Boulevard, according to police.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver remained in the area.
