Pedestrian fatally struck by tour bus ID’d

A pedestrian struck and killed by a tour bus on Saturday in San Francisco’s Lower Pacific Heights neighborhood has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as 82-year-old Pieter Roell.

Roell was involved in a crash reported around 1 p.m. Saturday at Post and Divisadero streets. Police said a tour bus struck the San Francisco resident, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
