An explosion involving a FedEx truck in the South of Market neighborhood Wednesday afternoon was reportedly caused by a package containing fireworks, authorities said.
No one was injured in the explosion, which reportedly occurred about 2 p.m. on Tehama Street between Fifth and Sixth streets, Officer Gordon Shyy said.
The area has been shut down while the bomb squad investigates, Shyy said, and Muni and traffic are being diverted.
