Police won’t stop dogging this guy.
A wanted parolee who led police on a chase in Pacifica last weekend could not run from a K-9 named Janyk, police said.
Dennis Paulo, 45, of San Francisco was booked into San Mateo County Jail Sunday on suspicion of felony vehicle theft, evading with disregard for public safety and resisting arrest.
About 9:30 a.m. Sunday, police said, Paulo fled with passenger Kimberly Taylor, 36, of Daly City in a Ford Aerostar van after a Pacifica police officer attempted to pull him over.
Paulo allegedly broke numerous traffic laws during the pursuit that began in the 200 block of Gateway Drive, Capt. Daniel Steidle said. At one point Paulo and Taylor reportedly abandoned the stolen van and fled on foot.
The officer deployed his K-9 partner, Janyk, to sniff out the suspects. The pooch found Paulo in a storage shed in the 100 block of Farallones Street in San Francisco.
Meanwhile, Taylor was found hiding nearby hiding under a residential porch on Lobos Street. She was cited for resisting arrest, Steidle said.
