Outer Sunset altercation lands man in the hospital

A 42-year-old man suffered several injuries and was taken to the hospital after an altercation between two people in the Outer Sunset district Tuesday night, police said.

The man arrived to a home at 45th Avenue near Lawton Avenue at around 10 p.m. after receiving a phone call from the suspect, a 36-year-old man, according to police reports.

Once the victim showed up, he reportedly lunged at the man. The suspect reacted by punching the victim in the face two times, knocking him to the ground, police said.

The suspect was taken into custody, while the victim faced cuts to his mouth and loss of consciousness, according to police.
