Other departments might want in on Golden Gate event management

City officials will hold a public hearing about how Rec and Park can coordinate with other departments for several major events in Golden Gate Park.

The hearing was called in response to a number of large events in Golden Gate Park including Outside Lands and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, according to Supervisor Eric Mar’s office.

The Dec. 14 hearing with the Land Use Committee will address how Rec and Park could manage future events in the park.

It’s scheduled to start at 1 p.m. in City Hall.
