One seriously injured in Bayview shooting Friday

A man suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Friday night, police said.

The shooting occurred shortly before 11:30 p.m. in the first block of Garlington Court, police said.

Police were alerted to the shooting by a gunshot detection system in the area. Officers arriving on the scene found the 25-year-old victim with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Police did not release a suspect description or an update on the victim’s injuries this morning.
