On Target: Yo-yo Championships

Bay Area residents will have a chance to unwind at the 2008 California State Yo-Yo Championships on Sept. 6 at the Exploratorium.

Participants can meet national and international yo-yo champions, watch daredevil tricks, learn basic techniques and partake in a yo-yo tricks clinic, according to Exploratorium officials.

Competitions with different types of yo-yos will also be featured. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is included in the price of admission to the Exploratorium.
