Off-duty cop foils Potrero Hill burglary

An off-duty cop foiled a burglary in Potrero Hill on Tuesday, cops said.

The cop saw the 38-year-old suspect inside the residence in the 500 block of Kansas Street around 4:20 p.m. He called 911 and pursued the suspect.

The burglar fled the residence, hopping over two backyard fences, but was eventually trapped and detained, police said.
