Nun bids farewell to homeless organization

Sister Bernie Galvin, who often clashed with San Francisco mayors on homeless policy, is leaving Religious Witness with Homeless People, the organization she created in 1993. Galvin’s outspoken advocacy for positive, effective solutions for the homeless put her at odds with Mayor Gavin Newsom’s Care Not Cash policy.
