Mayor Gavin Newsom has a busy Wednesday of wheeling and dealing in Washington D.C.
The mayor will spend part of his day trying to hammer out an agreement on Treasure Island with top Pentagon officials.
Earlier this morning, Newsom laid out some consequences to not striking a deal for the land.
“Heading over to Pentagon to meet with Navy Secretary about Treasure Island — 5000 construction & 2000 permanent jobs at stake,” he wrote.
Newsom will be back in City Hall Thursday, the Mayor’s Office said.
