Newsmaker, Aug. 22, 2008: Bernie Ward

The former radio talk-show host who pleaded guilty to distributing child pornography faces up to nine years in prison when he is sentenced next week, prosecutors said. They are recommending a nine-year prison sentence for Ward, the 57-year-old former Catholic priest who worked for 24 years at KGO-AM before being fired in December for the child-porn charges.
