The Department of Building Inspection’s permit services manager will take over as DBI acting director to replace Isam Hasenin, who is taking a position in the private sector. Her appointment is effective today. Prior to starting work at the DBI, Day managed the city of Alameda permit center for 20 years. The Building Inspection Commission voted unanimously to appoint Day during a special meeting Wednesday.Bay Area NewsLocal
