New Kamala ad is all about the children

District Attorney Kamala Harris released a new 30-second spot today promoting the attention she’s paid to San Francisco’s children.

She touts the creation of The City’s first Child Assault Unit and her strict prosecution of parents who let their children habitually skip school.

But when it comes to protecting children who are living among methamphetamine addict parents, the D.A.’s Office hasn’t prosecuted a case in years – really by no fault of prosecutors.

San Francisco police have been taking more than $1 million in grant money specifically focused on kids who are in “drug-endangered” houses, but have yet to present such a case to prosecutors.
